  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Optional, for extra flavor.

Preparation

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  • Add chopped vegetables and cook for about 5 minutes, until softened.
  • Stir in the cooked rice, breaking up any clumps.
  • Add soy sauce and garlic powder, stirring to evenly coat the rice.
  • Push the rice mixture to one side of the pan and pour in the beaten egg.
  • Scramble the egg until fully cooked, then mix it into the rice.
  • Continue to cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
