Ingredients
  

Main ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate Use good quality for best flavor.
  • 100 g sweetened condensed milk
  • 50 g butter Use dairy-free butter for a vegan version.
  • 1 cup crushed biscuits Crush to small crumbs but not dust.

Optional ingredients

  • 1/2 cup nuts Can be replaced with seeds or omitted.
  • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut Sprinkle on top if desired.

Preparation

  • Melt the dark chocolate, butter, and condensed milk over low heat. Stir until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and mix in the crushed biscuits and nuts if using.
  • Pour the mixture into a lined square baking dish.
  • Sprinkle desiccated coconut on top if desired.
  • Refrigerate for 2 hours until set.

Serving

  • Cut into bars and serve chilled for a firm bite or let sit a few minutes for a softer texture.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 1 month and thaw in the fridge. Press the mixture firmly into the pan so bars hold their shape. Add chopped nuts or dried fruit for extra bite.
