Ingredients
  

Pasta and Meat Base

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey Choice of ground meat
  • 1 pound rotini pasta Cook until al dente
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste

Cheese and Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Add for creaminess
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles For garnish
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to preference
  • optional ketchup and mustard For serving

Instructions
 

Cooking

  • Cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onions and cook until they become soft.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce and tomato paste, mixing until well combined.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix well.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with diced pickles and optional ketchup and mustard.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop with a splash of water.
