Ingredients
  

For the Dry Rub

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) Use for added spice

For the Ribs

  • 2 racks pork ribs Use your preferred cut
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil To help rub adhere

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill or oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  • Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs.

Cooking

  • Place the ribs on the grill or on a baking sheet if using the oven.
  • Cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, basting with BBQ sauce every 30 minutes.
  • Once tender, remove from heat, brush with BBQ sauce, and let rest for a few minutes.
  • Slice and serve hot.

Notes

Cool the ribs to room temperature before storing. Wrap tightly in foil or place in an airtight container. Refrigerate up to 3–4 days; freeze up to 2–3 months. Let ribs rest 5–10 minutes before slicing for juicier meat.
