Ingredients
  

For the Taco Pinwheels

  • 1 lb lean ground beef Use lean meat to reduce fat.
  • 2.5 tablespoons taco seasoning Adjust according to your spice preference.
  • 1/4 cup water To help blend the beef with seasoning.
  • 1 pizza dough pizza dough Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese For a gooey texture.

For the Dipping Sauce

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt Can be substituted with sour cream.
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing Choose your favorite brand.
  • 1 tsp lime juice Fresh lime is best.
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh cilantro For added freshness.

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cook the Ground Beef

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  • Drain any excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning and add the water.
  • Cook for 2–3 minutes until well combined and heated through.

Prepare the Pizza Dough

  • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface.

Assemble the Pinwheels

  • Spread the cooked ground beef evenly over the pizza dough.
  • Sprinkle the shredded Mexican cheese over the beef.
  • Roll the dough up jelly-roll style to create a log.

Cut and Bake

  • Cut the rolled dough into 1/2-inch rounds.
  • Arrange the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 12–14 minutes or until golden and puffy.

Make the Dipping Sauce

  • In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, ranch dressing, lime juice, and chopped cilantro.
  • Stir to mix well.

Serve

  • Serve the Cheesy Taco Pinwheels immediately with the dipping sauce, fresh salsa, and additional chopped cilantro on the side.

Notes

For extra flavor, mix a little salsa into the beef before spreading. Store leftover pinwheels in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
