  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder.
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced Use fresh ginger for optimal taste.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season as desired.
  • as needed Sesame seeds for garnish Optional, for additional texture.
  • as needed Fresh cilantro for garnish Chop finely before garnishing.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix the ingredients until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

Cooking

  • Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and drizzle additional sweet chili sauce over the meatballs, if desired.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

Store leftover meatballs in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw and reheat when ready to eat. For added flavor, consider mixing in spices like cumin or paprika.
