Ingredients
  

Skewer Ingredients

  • 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye) Cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 pound bacon Cut in half
  • 1 medium bell pepper Cut into chunks
  • 1 medium onion Cut into chunks
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For brushing skewers

Preparation

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Cut the steak into 1-inch cubes and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cut the bacon strips in half.
  • Alternate threading pieces of steak, bacon, bell pepper, and onion onto skewers.
  • Brush skewers with olive oil.

Cooking

  • Grill skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness and bacon is crispy.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

Use uniform cubes for even doneness. Par-cook bacon slightly if slices are very thick. Oil the grill grates to prevent sticking. You can assemble skewers ahead of time and keep covered in the fridge until ready to grill.
