  • 2 pieces chicken breasts Pound to even thickness for even cooking.
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning Toast briefly in the pan for more flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adjust to taste.
  • 4 tablespoons butter Add more for a richer flavor.
  • 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or penne) Use any shape that holds sauce well.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking chicken.
  • 1 piece bell pepper, sliced Any color bell pepper can be used.
  • 1 piece onion, sliced Yellow or red onions are recommended.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Use more for added flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh parsley Optional for serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  • Season chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 6–7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Remove and slice.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and add honey, stirring to combine.
  • Add sliced bell pepper, onion, and garlic; sauté until softened.
  • Combine cooked pasta, sliced chicken, and the honey butter mixture in the skillet. Toss well to coat.
  • Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Cool the pasta and chicken to room temperature before storing. Place in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3–4 days. Reheat gently on the stove with a splash of water or broth to keep it moist. For a creamier version, stir in a splash of cream at the end.
