Main Ingredients

  • 300 g spaghetti Use your favorite type of spaghetti.
  • 500 g ground beef You can substitute with ground turkey or pork.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium carrot, diced
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 400 g canned tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For cooking the vegetables.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 50 g Parmesan cheese, grated Use fresh grated for best flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onions, garlic, carrot, and celery; sauté until softened.

Cooking

  • Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  • Stir in canned tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer sauce for 20-30 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve sauce over spaghetti and top with Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Cool the sauce before storing. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. For variations, try using ground turkey or adding a splash of red wine.
