  • 2 pieces ripe pears, halved and cored Use ripe but firm pears for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Melt for searing the pears.
  • 1/4 cup honey Watch closely to prevent burning.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain yogurt Can be substituted with flavored yogurt.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Mix with yogurt just before serving.

Garnish

  • to taste Cinnamon Sprinkle over pears before serving.
  • to taste Chopped nuts (optional) Such as walnuts, pecans, or almonds.

Preparation

  • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the pear halves cut-side down and cook until golden brown, about 5–7 minutes.
  • Flip the pears and drizzle with honey, cooking for another 3–5 minutes until softened.

Make the Sauce

  • In a bowl, mix yogurt with vanilla extract.

Serve

  • Serve pears warm drizzled with honey and a dollop of honey-yogurt sauce.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and chopped nuts if desired.

Notes

These pears pair well with savory dishes or can be served with toast or ice cream for a richer dessert. Store leftovers in separate airtight containers for up to 2 days. Reheat gently before serving.
