Ingredients
  

For the dip

  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil Use good quality for best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar Can substitute with red wine vinegar for a sharper taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice Adjust for brightness to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Mince finely for good mixing
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish) Add just before serving for color and scent

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, and basil.
  • Whisk until well blended. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve in a shallow dish, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Store the dip in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 3–4 days. Bring to room temperature and stir before serving as olive oil may thicken when cold. For variations, add red pepper flakes, chopped olives, or grated Parmesan.
