Ingredients
  

Oyster Preparation

  • 12 pieces Fresh oysters on the half shell Use very fresh oysters for best taste.

Garlic Butter Mixture

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Keep cold until needed.
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, grated or finely minced
  • 1-2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Plus extra for topping.
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • a pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

For Serving

  • Lemon wedges, hot sauce, and crusty bread For serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together the butter, grated garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 cup of grated cheese, salt, pepper, cayenne, and chopped parsley until well combined. Set this mixture aside.
  • Preheat your grill to 350°F (180°C).

Grilling

  • Arrange the oysters on the half shell directly on the preheated grill. Let them cook until the juices in the oysters start to bubble.
  • Once bubbling, spoon about 1 tablespoon of the garlic butter mixture over each oyster.
  • Sprinkle each oyster with the remaining grated cheese.
  • Continue grilling until the cheese is melted and turns a light golden brown.

Garnishing

  • Remove the oysters from the grill and garnish with additional chopped parsley.
  • Serve immediately with extra garlic butter, lemon wedges, hot sauce, and crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

Cool any leftovers quickly and store in an airtight container in the fridge. Eat within 1–2 days for best safety and flavor. Reheat briefly under a broiler or on a hot grill just until warmed; avoid overcooking to keep them tender.
