For the lobster

  • 4 pieces lobster tails Fresh lobster tails are preferred.

For the garlic lemon butter sauce

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted over low heat.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced For flavor.
  • 2 pieces lemons, juiced Use fresh juice for best flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust to personal preference.
  • to taste chopped parsley For garnish before serving.

Preparation

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

Grilling

  • Split the lobster tails in half lengthwise and brush the garlic lemon butter sauce over the meat.
  • Place the lobster tails on the grill, shell side down, and grill for about 6-8 minutes, basting with the butter sauce.

Serving

  • Remove from the grill and garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Serve hot with extra lemon wedges.

Notes

Cool leftovers quickly and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in a low oven or in a skillet with a bit of the butter sauce to keep the meat moist. Use fresh lemon juice for bright flavor. Do not overcook, as lobster meat becomes tough when overdone. Baste several times while grilling for a glossy finish.
