Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 pieces green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated Grate fresh ginger for best flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice Use fresh lime juice, not bottled.
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Can substitute with gluten-free soy sauce if needed.
  • 1 teaspoon honey or brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste Start with less salt, then add to taste.
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce, optional Skip for a vegetarian version.

Preparation

  • Add all ingredients to a small bowl.
  • Stir well until fully combined and honey dissolves.
  • Taste and adjust lime, sweetness, or salt as desired.
  • Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve the Ginger Lime Sauce chilled or at room temperature as a dip, drizzle, or marinade. It works well with many dishes, including grilled fish, chicken, or roasted vegetables. Store in an airtight jar in the fridge for 4–5 days.
