Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg

  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.

Frying

  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C).
  • Pour the batter into a squeeze bottle or piping bag.
  • Squeeze the batter in a circular motion into the hot oil.
  • Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  • Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with chocolate sauce, caramel, or lemon curd for different flavors. For a fun twist, you can also add a teaspoon of vanilla or a pinch of cinnamon to the batter.
