Ingredients
  

Steak Ingredients

  • 2 pieces filet steaks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking steaks
  • Salt to taste Salt

Sauce Ingredients

  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced any variety you prefer
  • 1 cup heavy cream for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or chives) chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced adds flavor to the sauce

Instructions
 

Cooking the Steaks

  • Season the filet steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
  • Remove the steaks and let them rest for 5 minutes.

Preparing the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add garlic and mushrooms. Sauté until mushrooms are browned.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and fresh herbs. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  • Pour the creamy mushroom sauce over the steaks and serve.

Notes

For best results, allow the steaks to rest for 5 minutes after cooking to retain juiciness. Pair with roasted vegetables or light grains to balance the richness of the dish.
