Ingredients
  

Pasta and Shrimp

  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Sauce and Vegetables

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Seasoning and Garnish

  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning; cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sauté until softened.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  • Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and combined.
  • Return the shrimp to the skillet and mix everything together.
  • Toss the pasta in the sauce until well coated.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. For a spicier dish, add more Cajun seasoning or a pinch of cayenne pepper. Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes for extra nutrition. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, add a splash of milk or cream to the skillet to loosen the sauce, then warm over low heat.
