Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat Cut into even pieces for even cooking.
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced Use starchy potatoes for thicker broth.
  • 1 small head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the beef stew meat in the slow cooker.
  • Add the diced potatoes, chopped cabbage, chopped onion, and minced garlic on top of the beef.
  • Pour in the beef broth and season with salt, pepper, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Stir to combine the ingredients.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

Serve with crusty bread or a simple green salad. You can store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 4 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months.
