  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Use fresh cream cheese for a creamier texture.
  • 0.5 cup sweet and spicy pepper jelly Experiment with different flavors of pepper jelly.
  • 24 pieces mini phyllo pastry shells (store-bought) Make sure not to overfill the shells.
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or green onions Optional for garnish.
  • Crackers or fresh veggies Optional for serving.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the mini phyllo pastry shells on a baking sheet.
  • Scoop about 1 teaspoon of softened cream cheese into each shell.
  • Top each with 1/2 teaspoon of sweet and spicy pepper jelly.
  • Bake in the oven for 3-5 minutes until the shells are lightly crisped and the cream cheese is slightly warmed.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions for color.
  • Serve immediately as a quick appetizer, or pair with crackers and veggies for a larger spread.

Notes

To store leftovers, place in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through. For variations, try adding chopped nuts or crumbled bacon on top for extra crunch.
