  • 1.5 cups 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cups 1/2 cup sugar Granulated white sugar
  • 2 tsp 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp 1/2 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Wet Ingredients

  • 0.5 cups 1/2 cup milk
  • 0.25 cups 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cups 1/4 cup butter, melted

Cinnamon Glaze

  • 0.5 cups 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well blended.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and a dash of cinnamon for the glaze.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cooled donut loaf and let it set before slicing and serving.

Notes

Slice and serve warm for the best texture. You can add extra glaze or a dusting of cinnamon sugar. Pairs well with coffee, tea, or a glass of milk.
