  • 4 pieces chicken thighs Use bone-in for more flavor or boneless for easy shredding.
  • 1/2 cup honey Can substitute with maple syrup.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free option.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Sesame seeds For garnish.
  • Chopped green onions For garnish.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, garlic, apple cider vinegar, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  • Place chicken thighs in the crockpot and pour the honey garlic mixture over them.

Cooking

  • Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until chicken is cooked through and tender.

Serving

  • Serve garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

Let the chicken cool before storing. Fridge: Keep in an airtight container for 3–4 days. Freezer: Freeze in a sealed bag for up to 3 months. Reheat gently on low heat or in the microwave until hot.
