  • 1 packet gravy mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Optional: cooked rice or mashed potatoes for serving

Instructions

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  • In a bowl, mix together the ranch dressing mix, gravy mix, and chicken broth.
  • Pour the mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken over hot rice or creamy mashed potatoes.
  • Spoon extra gravy over everything and add steamed vegetables for color.
  • Fresh parsley on top adds a bright touch.

Notes

Cool the leftovers to room temperature before storing. Place in airtight containers and refrigerate for 3–4 days. You can freeze for up to 3 months; thaw in the fridge before reheating. Use chicken breasts of similar size for even cooking. Brown the chicken briefly for richer flavor. If the gravy is thin, stir in a slurry of cornstarch and water near the end.
