Ingredients
  

For the shrimp

  • 1 pound large shrimp, thawed, peeled, deveined, tail-on
  • 1 cup buttermilk for marinating

For the coating

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

For the glaze

  • ½ cup hot honey

For garnish

  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Marinate the shrimp

  • In a medium bowl, marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 15 minutes.

Prepare the coating

  • In another bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Fry the shrimp

  • Heat vegetable oil to 350°F in a large pot.
  • Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture.
  • Fry until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
  • Drain on a lined baking sheet.

Finish and serve

  • Drizzle with hot honey and garnish with parsley.

Notes

Serve hot for best crunch. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in a hot oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
