Filling Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup crab meat
  • 1 piece green onion (chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Wrapper Ingredients

  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • as needed Oil for frying Use vegetable or canola oil for frying.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, crab meat, green onion, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce until well blended.
  • Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  • Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold over to form a triangle, and seal tightly.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or pan.
  • Fry the wontons until golden brown.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

Make sure the wonton wrappers are sealed tightly to prevent filling from leaking during frying. Experiment with different types of crab or add herbs to the filling for unique flavors. Don’t overcrowd the pan while frying to ensure even cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days in the refrigerator and reheat in the oven to restore crispiness.
