  • 1 lb corned beef, cooked and chopped Use well-cooked corned beef to avoid extra liquid.
  • 1 pie crust pie crust (store-bought or homemade) A puff pastry top can be used for a flakier crust.
  • 1 cup beef gravy Serve hot to prevent sogginess.
  • 1 unit onion, chopped Sauté until translucent.
  • 2 tablespoons flour Sprinkle over the mixture to thicken.
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust seasoning to preference.
  • for serving Chips (fries) Can swap for mashed potatoes.

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
  • Add the corned beef and cook for a few minutes.
  • Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir. Add mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Pour in the beef gravy and stir until everything is well combined and heated through.
  • Pour the mixture into a pie crust, cover with a second crust, and seal the edges.
  • Cut slits in the top crust for ventilation.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  • Serve hot with chips and extra gravy.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven until hot to keep the crust crisp. Do not leave cooked chips out for long; they get soggy. Reheat chips in a hot oven or air fryer.
