Ingredients
  

For the potato mixture

  • 4 large large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Choose your favorite cheese.
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For frying

  • 2 tablespoons butter for frying

Preparation

  • Boil the potatoes until tender, then drain and mash them.
  • In a bowl, mix the mashed potatoes with cheese, flour, milk, green onions, salt, and pepper until combined.

Cooking

  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Shape the potato mixture into patties and place them in the skillet.
  • Cook each side until golden and crispy, about 4-5 minutes.

Notes

Store leftover Cheesy Potato Bread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave before serving. For added flavor, consider adding cooked bacon or ham to the mixture.
