Ingredients
  

For the pockets

  • 1 package pizza dough Use homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices Can be substituted with ham or omitted for a veggie version
  • 1 cup cooked vegetables (like bell peppers and onions) Add your choice of cooked veggies
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce For dipping or adding inside the pockets
  • 1 large egg For the egg wash, optional

Instructions
 

Preparation and Baking

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into rectangles.
  • On one half of each rectangle, place a portion of cheese, pepperoni, and vegetables.
  • Add a spoonful of marinara sauce on top.
  • Fold the dough over to create a pocket and seal the edges.
  • Brush the tops with egg wash if desired.
  • Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Cool fully before storing in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, use the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes, or microwave for 1–2 minutes and then crisp in a toaster oven.
