5 simple pizza recipes you can make at home

1. 3 Cheese Pizza

Preparation time: 40 minutes

Yield: 8 servings

Separate for the dough:

  • 1 envelope (10 g) of dry biological yeast
  • 3 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 1 level teaspoon of salt
  • 1 level teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of orange juice
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 egg yolks

Set aside for the topping:

  • 4 ripe tomatoes, seeded and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 200g of catupiry
  • 50g crumbled gorgonzola cheese
  • 300g sliced ​​mozzarella
  • dried oregano for sprinkling

Preparation method

  1. Mix the ingredients in that order and knead until it forms a smooth, ball-shaped dough.
  2. Roll out two disks of dough to 28 centimeters in diameter, and place them on lightly oiled pizza pans.
  3. Spread the tomato and layer the catupiry, gorgonzola and mozzarella slices.
  4. Add some oregano to taste, then bake in a medium oven preheated to 200°C for approximately 25 minutes or until edges are golden and cheeses are melted.
  5. For the topping, mash the tomato using a fork until you get a puree, season with salt and olive oil.

2. Pan pizza

Separate for the dough:

  • 2 1⁄2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 200ml warm milk

Set aside for the topping:

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 clove of minced garlic
  • olive oil
  • 1 can of peeled tomatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 200g mozzarella cheese
  • 2 boiled eggs
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 bell pepper cut into strips
  • oregano to taste

Preparation method

  1. In a bowl, combine all the dough ingredients. Using your hands, mix. More flour can be added if needed to get the dough to separate off the sticks.
  2. Divide the dough into four balls. Roll them out separately in a frying pan. Bake on one side only until they reach the desired doneness.
  3. Turn the dough over and let it brown on the other side. Set aside.
  4. To create the topping, start by heating some olive oil in a pan and quickly stir-frying the garlic and chopped onion. Pour in the peeled tomatoes and simmer until a sauce forms.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  6. With the pan off the heat, pour the sauce over the pasta. Cover with mozzarella, add the eggs, onion and pepper.
  7. Drizzle with a little olive oil and add oregano to taste.
  8. Return to the heat and continue cooking. To melt the cheese, cover the pan. Serve right away.

3. Homemade vegetarian pizza

Preparation time: 1 hour (+ 40 minutes resting time)

Yield: 4 servings

Separate for the dough:

  • 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablet (15g) of fresh biological yeast
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of cooked and chopped spinach
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of cold water
  • 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • wheat flour for dusting

Set aside for the topping:

  • 200g buffalo mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 cup (tea) of sliced ​​hearts of palm
  • 100g grated parmesan cheese
  • black olives and fresh basil for garnish

Preparation method

  1. Mix the flour and salt in a bowl. Add the crumbled yeast and spinach and stir until you get a smooth dough.
  2. Slowly incorporate the oil and cold water while kneading until a soft dough is achieved. If needed, increase the amount of water used.
  3. Form a ball, cover and let rest for 40 minutes.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface until it forms a large disk. Place it on a pizza pan, prick the dough with a fork, spread the tomato sauce and bake in a preheated medium oven for 10 minutes or until firm, without letting it brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and spread the buffalo mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, hearts of palm and parmesan.
  6. Place in the oven for another 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Remove and garnish with olives and basil before serving.

4. Traditional pizza pie

Preparation time: 40 minutes

Yield: 8 servings

Separate:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup (tea) of milk
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of oil
  • salt and oregano to taste
  • 1 cup (tea) of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 seedless tomato, diced
  • 1 cup (tea) of diced ham
  • 1 cup (tea) of cubed mozzarella cheese
  • oil and wheat flour for greasing
  • 1 cup (tea) of creamy cottage cheese

Preparation method

  1. In a blender, beat the egg, milk, oil, salt, flour and yeast. Transfer to a bowl and mix in the tomato, ham and mozzarella cheese.
  2. Transfer to a greased and floured 24-centimeter springform pan, place the cream cheese over the dough and sprinkle with oregano.
  3. Preheat an oven to 180ºC. Allow baking for about 30 minutes or depending on how golden is the color of the crust. When it is warm, strip off the bench and serve at once.

5. Cream cheese pizza with melted guava paste

Separate for the dough:

  • 250ml of water
  • 500g wheat flour
  • 10g of bread yeast
  • 20g of salt
  • 20ml of oil, butter or extra virgin olive oil

Set aside for the topping:

  • 50g of cream cheese
  • 50g creamy guava paste

Preparation method

  1. For the dough, mix the ingredients vigorously by hand or in a mixer. Set the dough aside and let it rest for 40 minutes.
  2. After resting, prepare three balls of approximately 100g of dough to roll out with a rolling pin.
  3. Each ball will be used to make one of the pizzas.
  4. For the topping, open the pizza disk to about 20 centimeters, cover with cream cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 250°C for five minutes.
  5. Remove the dough from the oven, add the creamy guava paste and bake for another minute. Serve immediately.
